What others have said

“everything you do has so much meaning. you truly are a man of incredible substance. i love your art. and your way of thinking. thankyou.”

“hi Chris I like the drawings you have there” – Mike Diana, first artist to be jailed in united states for drawing artwork and publishing it in Florida

“you have to see his drawings and paintings !!! between humour and darkness”

“dibuja directamente a caneta, e no se equivoca”

“Its like a mixture between Robert Crumb and H R Giger”

“foda-se, tinha me esquecido do teu brilho.”

“man, your work is great—original stuff!”

“These are some weird, bizarre, quirky pictures riveting with their quite tension. I’m not as impressed with the Bacon-like paintings. But those nervous drawings and stories are pure.”

“I like your use of anatomical items in your work and how you manipulate them. LOVE the drawings. You create very interesting art.”

“Your work is quite moving. It has some incredibly deep narratives.Keep up the good work!”

“The problem with you is that you mistake children for dwarfs”

“I love your way of shading with lines, it’s really effective. Your pen drawings have a real unique style to them.”

“there’s an honest very abrupt feeling…not only in the themes of your work. but the quality of lines…representations of the figures…it’s solid. very palpable.”

My thoughts on art

FAQ

Is your work for sale?
Yes, everything in here is for sale except, obviously, the ‘not available’ tagged art. If you’re interested in buying something contact me at jmiguelp@gmail.com for further details on prices, details of the work, shipping, etc.

Do you do commissions?
Most of the times I don’t, but if you have a solid idea to propose me I’ll be interested in hearing. Though, it has to go according to my stylistic and ideological approach on art, meaning you can give me a base-theme but the final result is up to me. Contact me at jmiguelp@gmail.com for further information.

Can I use your art for my own profit?
I would prefer you didn’t, but it was I who has put this on the net, and it’s a free world…It’s your own call, don’t worry I won’t stalk you…

Can I link to your site?
Sure, that is highly appreciated. I’m always interested in link exchange.

Do you do album artwork?
Yes. but I’ll only do music I like and that I somehow feel related to. I actually take the time to listen to the album before drawing its cover.

Do you work with non-traditional methods?
Unless it is a comercial work that demands it, no. I think that there are amazing possibilities and works out there with non-traditional methods, and I like to once in a while experiment with them, but I don’t have the urge of doing a final work like that
